Dogwood Canyon Visitors
If Johnny Morris’s name is on something, then you know it will be world class. Dogwood Canyon is no exception, the park is amazing. Be sure and read my water features blog for a complete breakdown on the beauty of Dogwood Canyon. During this blog we are going to focus on the people who have chosen to enjoy the park on the same day that we have chosen to. Each of us are going to enjoy the park in our own special way. Some might be on bikes, others like us are on foot.
Each person has their own pace, ours is much slower than most, mostly because we are older, but we do stop and enjoy the beauty of each scene. Each person does this differently, I prefer to capture the moment with a camera, my wife prefers her phone and Facebook. Other visitors use the park to visit with family while strolling through a glorious park. This park can be so much to many people which you can see by the faces of the people around us.
It is enjoyable to watch all the various activities of the visitors. Some are fishing while others are watching the fish. Children run around in the grassy areas while the parents sit on the benches or standing talking to the other adults. Each activity speaks to the deep calmness of the park. The park is really quiet, the sounds of nature around us has the opportunity to speak to each person. The flowing of the water, the birds singing, it all allows us to breathe in the refreshing air of nature.
Along with the personal enjoyment received from the park, I enjoy seeing others showcase the feelings they are experiencing. This may be shown in a smile, by pointing, by telling others about what they are seeing or the classic “hey look over there”. Maybe you can make the trek to Dogwood Canyon but if not, then find a happy place. It can be by traveling somewhere or maybe yours in on your deck. Wherever it might be, soak it in, enjoy it, let the peace of nature fill you with good thoughts.
